I am looking for a part for a friend - for a Woden dowel jig, which he's had for nigh on 50 years - the jig No. is X190.
The part is a 1/4" (I think 'bush', which he's lost
can anyone help by suggesting where he might find one? thanks - ernie

I bought a 041/2 Record plane in a rusted state and, thanks to the wealth of information on your website, I was able to dismantle, clean and assemble it. It now actually works. I was also able to date the plane to the early 50's. You must have put an immense amount of work into your site. Thank you sir.

I love this site. Lots of good info on Record planes. I have a beginning collection: 043, 044, 09 1/2, 060 1/2, and 2506S. The latter is one sweet little plane. Best tool ever for fitting old wooden windows in their tracks on site. I haven't found any bench planes in decent shape yet, but I'm still looking. Garage sale finds so far have just been rusted hulks.
Keep up the good work!
